Inspected A/C system for leak/loss of refrigerant, no leaks detected at this time, advised to return in one week to recheck for leaks with black light (approx 15 minutes needed to recheck at no charge)

  • Technician test drove vehicle and brought into the garage. Scanned for codes and had a P0455 (Large evap leak). Tested gas cap with emission gas cap tester and it passed. Found some rust round the fuel filler neck, where the gas cap seal, cleaned off rust and greased. Ran a Evap function test and it passed but it may not be accurate because the fuel tank is full and it recommends to be below 80% / 3/4ths of a tank.
  • Technician noted from test drive the vehicle had a pulsation when braking. Checked all brakes found the front brake pads wearing unevenly due to a hang up caliper pin. Recommending to free up caliper pin on driver front and replacing the front brake pads and rotors, to start.
  • Replaced the front brake pads and rotors. Cleaned and lubricated the front brake pad sliding areas and the brake caliper slider pins. Perform new brake pad break in on test drive.
